Distance is the first problem. Copper network cable is limited to 100 m. In a large warehouse that means placing telecom cabinets (IDFs) around the building and connecting them with fibre, so every camera, access point and time clock is within reach.
Racking changes everything for Wi-Fi. Full racks block signal. We survey with the racking in mind and mount access points and antennas to cover each aisle, not just open floor.
