πŸ“˜ Good to Know

Certification vs a Basic Tester

A basic tester only shows whether the wires connect. Certification measures how the cable actually performs: insertion loss, crosstalk, return loss and length, and compares each result to the standard for its category. A run can pass a basic test and still fail at gigabit or 10-gigabit speeds.

Certification reports are what manufacturers ask for before they honour extended system warranties, and what general contractors need in a closeout package.

If another contractor installed your cabling and you are not sure it was done right, we can certify it independently and give you a clear report.

❓ Common Questions

Testing, Troubleshooting & Maintenance FAQ

Straight answers for property managers, general contractors and business owners.

What is cable certification?

Certification measures each cable's real performance against the standard for its category and produces a pass/fail report per run. A basic continuity tester cannot do this.

Can you find why our network keeps dropping?

Yes. We test the cabling, locate faults, and repair or replace the bad runs, jacks or patch cords.

Can you test cabling another contractor installed?

Yes. We provide independent certification and a clear report of what passed and what needs fixing.

Do you offer maintenance plans?

Yes. We offer scheduled inspections, testing, closet tidy-ups and documentation updates.
